Steve Kiser, Jane Kiser and Rodney Engard traveled to Charleston, SC on Thursday, August 26, 2010 to witness Joy Logan, Beaufort County Treasurer receive the Palmetto Patriot Award for outstanding service to Beaufort County and the state of South Carolina. She was presented the award by Secretary of State Mark Hammond. Also in attendance for the presentation was Ken Burger, sports writer for the News and Courier. ___________________________________________________________________________
On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, Nick Kremydas, CEO of South Carolina Association of Realtors presented a great social media session . The event was held at the Hilton Head Area Association of Realtors office with approximately 40 local realtors in attendance.
Rodney Engard, President of Engard Real Estate Company and Developers of Shell Hall presented Lindsey Widener, the winner of the Bluffton High School 2010 Teacher of the Year Award. This award is voted on by all the teachers and is the fifth consecutive year that Engard Real Estate Company and Shell Hall have participated. Tina Boyle, MA. LPC is the Bluffton High School Scholarship Coordinator.
On May 24, 2010, Bill Hacker and the clan from Pennsylvania namely Penn State had a gathering at his home in Port Royal Plantation on Hilton Head Island. What a fun time! Over 45 friend, relatives, and children celebrated birthdays and just being together. Bill’s sisters, Sue and Holly and Bill’s children, Allison and Bryan were enjoying the night. Cousin Tom cooked barbecue and shrimp pinkie. What a treat! Aunt Jane and Debbie were listening to Marty Falle and the band who were jamming with 6 musicians and they rocked! Everyone was talking about having it again next year. Hopefully, BJ and I will be invited again.
The Bluffton Historical Preservation Society in support of the Heyward House and the Teel House held a Low Country Boil and Barbeque on Sunday, October 11, 2009. Emmett and Teddy McCracken hosted the event at their May River home. Approximately 200 people attended and everyone renewed old friendships. Pictured left to right: Rod Engard and Emmett McCracken
