Shell Hall is located in Beaufort County west of the Town of Bluffton in an area called Buckwalter which has approximately 6,000 acres fronting Hwy. 278 and Hwy. 46. The Beaufort County School system has an elementary and middle school in an open campus setting with the new Bluffton High School that opened in Fall of 2004. Shell Hall is comprised of 120 acres but will only have zoning for 264 homes.
